Winter Light Spectacular 2025
A concept-to-delivery winter light trail combining hundreds of weatherproof fixtures, immersive audio, atmospheric effects and site-wide control.
How the production came together.
For the 2025 Winter Light Spectacular at Brands Hatch, ALD developed the route from initial concept through technical design, installation and live operation. The result was an immersive trail that transformed the circuit grounds while remaining robust enough for a long outdoor run.
Across the route we installed more than 600 IP-rated fixtures, over 60 Source Fours, 24 moving heads, 30 strobes, 10,000 metres of pea lights and 2,000 metres of festoon. Custom neon, fairy-light and Edison-lamp features added detail, while truss, Keyclamp arches and scenic structures shaped each sequence.
More than 180 loudspeakers carried music and effects around the site. The system was supported by over 10,000 metres of 16A cable, 1,200 metres of 32A cable and 600 metres of three-phase distribution, with Avolites control bringing the lighting together as one programmed experience.
A seven-person technical team completed the installation in two weeks. ALD technicians then remained onsite throughout the live run to operate, maintain and protect the experience night after night.
